In high school I spent a lot of time sitting on the bench during basketball games, waiting for the very end, long after the outcome was decided, to get my minutes. When you are relegated to riding the pine game in and game out, you become pretty observant of details, nuances, and other small occurrences that are going on around the play. Sports writing is the same way I think. There’s who won and who lost, the details that most people, the starters, are covering, but there are also hundreds of small things happening simultaneously, that have their own impact and their own brilliance. This blog is dedicated to bringing those small stories to life. I’ve been doing this my whole life…so I thought it was time I shared it with you. Thanks for reading. J. Adams Hardman
